Welcome to the HPC web site of the ACET Centre!

The Centre for Advanced Computing and Emerging Technologies (ACET) at the University of Reading aims to demonstrate and promote new ways of performing multidisciplinary research based on the approach of "scientific discovery through advanced computing".

This website details the high performance computing and visualization resources available at the ACET Centre, along with documentation to help users get the best out of these resources. It is aimed to be a single source of information relating to the description, use and current status of computing resources at ACET.

ACET also offers access to THAMESBLUE. THAMESBLUE is one of the most powerful supercomputing facilities in the UK and is being used across a wide field of disciplines that include climate change, financial modelling, air pollution modelling, drug discovery, computational biology and meteorology.
